Job title: Drilling Engineer
Job description:

Department: Operations Department

Reports to: Senior Drilling Engineer/ Operations Manager

 

ROLE:

To support the Operations Manager/ Senior Drilling Engineer in the planning and implementation of the drilling program.

 

OBJECTIVES:

-    Prepare and evaluate drilling related tenders.

-    Prepare well programs.

-    Pore pressure and fracture gradient prediction.

-    Case and cement design.

-    Drilling Fluid design.

-    Bit and Hydraulic Design.

-    Develop Detailed Operations Procedures.

-    Prepare Time and Cost Estimations.

-    Monitor and report drilling costs.

-    Prepare daily cost reports, code all invoices and confirm all charges as per contract.

-    Prepare Dry hole and test AFEs.

-    Check and ensure that all received invoices are charged as per contract.

-    Provide offshore technical support.

-    Provide onshore technical surveillances while drilling.

-    Undertake any operations assignments requested by SDE/ Operations Manager.
General:
Job Requirement:
Years of experience: 7
Minimum education level: Bachelor of Engineering
-    Bachelors degree (or higher) in science or engineering discipline.
-    7 years experience in well operations, well engineering, and completion and work over engineering with demonstrated leadership and technical skills, 5 years experience as Drilling Engineer in Vietnam.
-    2 years experience in basement drilling.
-    Experience in well operations, well engineering, and completion and workover engineering with demonstrated leadership and technical skills.
-    Demonstrate experience with well engineering software including casing design and directional well planning, MS Office, Excel, etc.
-    Fluent in English reading, writing and communication, minimum requirement is TOEIC 700 or equivalent.
